Bowling Ball Aspirations

This is the conversation Carter and I had when I was tucking him in bed on Saturday night:

Carter: Mom I would make a really great bowling ball.
Me: Really why is that Carter?
Carter: Because I could just roll up in a ball and you could roll me down and I could move around so I would be sure to knock down all the pins.
Me: Carter you are right, you would be a great bowling ball!

What a weird kid!

I worship that kid. He's brilliant, and obviously very self aware. Sometimes when I get frustrated with my kid's, um special talents, I hope that he will turn out as cool as Carter, or Sam or Jake.

that is SO funny - i am laughing so hard, and yet, it oddly makes sense, I mean, it would be easier to bowl the ball if he could move where you wanted :) maybe he could be our soccer ball and then we could get it in the goal?

So smart! I'm telling you he's getting all the smart genes from his grandpas.

I haven't been reading ANY blogs lately and you've been busy! Won't you and I have great lives when our boys grow up and follow their dreams of being bowling balls and Mickey Mouse?? Wonder what our grandbabies will turn out like??...

My best friend Mallory had similar aspirations as Carter late one night- she allowed her roommates to packing-tape her into a tiny ball and roll her down the stairs. I have video footage, and it is priceless, but definitely not recommended!

Don't you wish you could get that excited about such a random thought. I love how kids' minds work! So cute!
